How GRIDOCKET cites FERC eLibrary documents

Each claim in this publication carries a citation to a filing, order or dataset, with its accession or document identifier.

This publication reports what public documents say. It does not attend hearings, does not cultivate sources, and does not publish figures that are not in a filing.

The primary records used are FERC eLibrary and eFiling for federal dockets, the interconnection queue and study postings maintained by PJM, MISO, ERCOT, CAISO, SPP, NYISO and ISO New England, the Energy Information Administration's generator inventory and Forms EIA-860 and EIA-923, reliability filings from NERC, state utility commission docket systems, and Department of Energy announcements.

The reason for stating this plainly is that interconnection reporting is unusually prone to figure drift. A megawatt total quoted in a trade article, repeated in a second article, and cited in a third acquires an authority the original filing never supported.

Every article carries a citation block with document identifiers and retrieval dates. Where a document has been superseded, the citation records the version consulted.

Corrections are made to the article, dated, and noted.
