Tracker: active interconnection capacity by ISO and RTO

This tracker maintains a single view of interconnection study activity across PJM, MISO, ERCOT, CAISO, SPP, NYISO and ISO New England. Each operator publishes queue and study information on its own schedule, in its own format, and with its own definitions of what counts as active.

Because the definitions differ, cross-market totals are presented as directional rather than as a like-for-like sum. A request in a MISO Definitive Planning Phase cycle is not procedurally equivalent to a request in a CAISO cluster subject to zonal entry limits.

The chart below records the retrieval date for each series. Where an operator restates a prior figure, the tracker follows the operator rather than preserving the earlier number.

The purpose is comparative shape, not precision: which markets are absorbing new requests, which are working through legacy positions, and where study capacity is the binding constraint rather than transmission capacity.
